Music at Tresanton
2010 winter festival will take place from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th November
Music at Tresanton, now in its fifth year, offers a unique opportunity to hear world famous musicians perform a specially devised programme of four chamber music concerts, all taking place in St Mawes' Methodist Chapel, with its excellent acoustic and intimate atmosphere. The weekend also includes a special dinner with the musicians on Saturday evening, a chance to for the musicians and guests to meet and talk. This year pianist (and artistic director) Noam Greenberg has invited Finnish violinist Pekka Kuusisto, Israeli clarinetist Chen Halvei, English violinist Katharine Gowers as well as Mikayel Hakhnazaryan and William Coleman of the Kuss Quartet to play a programme of music by Ravel, Faure, Enescu, Debussy, Franck, Brahms and the UK premiere of "Hommages" by Sven-Ingo Koch.
