Mary Jo Paranzino, known as MJ to her friends, has an infectious love of music. The way the singer-songwriter talks about her life's driving force, one can't help but feel the fever of her passion. "I can't remember a time when I wasn't singing," she says emphatically.
As a professional vocal coach MJ has worked with professionals on Broadway, boy bands, indie groups, opera singers, and aspiring rock stars as well as retired ones, but firmly believes that everyone can sing. In addition to vocal coaching MJ is also a successful singer, session musician, songwriter and composer. As musical director of three choirs who have performed at Royal Festival Hall and the Brighton Festival Fringe, MJ understands the power and beauty of the human voice and how to bring out the very best in her singers.

Workshop Outline
MJ will help you explore your voice through professional vocal techniques including: breathing, posture, diction, rhythm, phrasing, projection, body language and performance. The workshop includes a combination of group and individual one-on-one sessions catering to all levels. Music sight-reading is not essential.
A diverse selection of music material will suit a range of different voices from classical and jazz to rock, pop and gospel. Please wear relaxing clothing that allows you to breath and move around comfortably. Participants may record the workshop on personal music players for later private use.
Friday
Guests arrive at the hotel during the afternoon. A light dinner is available from 6pm.
Welcome drinks and taster session with MJ and other workshop participants will be held
between 8pm and 9pm.
Saturday
Workshop commences at 10am and includes a working lunch break. Individual sessions will
be held from 5pm to 7pm. Dinner is served from 7pm to 9.30pm.
Sunday
Workshop commences from 10am to 1pm. Light lunch from 2pm.
Cost
£575 per person for single occupancy
£460 per person for double occupancy
Inclusive of professional voice coaching, workshop materials, two night's accommodation
at Hotel Tresanton, breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant with head
chef Paul Wadham.
